Music Enrichment at Life Adult Day Academy with Audiences Unlimited Inc.

The Music Enrichment, or ME, program launched in October of 2017 to serve adults in the Fort Wayne community with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program allows the academy’s students access to live, interactive music during their social hour. Performers encourage participation through shaker eggs, ribbons, and other rhythm instruments. Performances are designed to be completely accessible so that students of all levels of ability can join in the enriching experience of music-making. The program promotes physical, emotional, and social well-being. But most importantly, it’s fun for everyone involved!
In addition, Heather Palmer, directs the LIFE Adult Day Academy Chorus which meets for a portion of the year while they work on songs related to the years theme. Those who do not participate in the choir have the opportunity to make the set that will be a part of the show at the Parkview Arts Lab.

Camp Red Cedar_ Quest Camps
As part of Camp Red Cedar's summer program some of the campers have the opportunity to learn various line dances which they can then dance at the dance at the end of the week. Each week they are able to learn a different dance so if they are there for all 4 weeks they are able to learn 4 different dances. The adaptive dance works on gross motor, balance, coordination, and social skills.
GiGi's Playhouse Choir

The GiGi's choir worked on learning how to sign and sing the National Anthem which they performed at the I Have A Voice Gala. They would meet twice a month in the spring to work on the song

GiGi's Playhouse Drama Club

Our drama club allows individuals the opportunity to work on one large group song with lyrics, dialog and their own personal characters. This club meets weekly during the summer and ends with them performing in It Is Music Time LLC large company musical.

GiGi's Playhouse L.M.N.O.P
|
L.M.N.O.P uses music and sign to work on teaching communication skills with children 0-5. We specifically use the Emmy nominated Baby Signing Time Curriculum when we are involved in the L.M.N.O.P. programs.
