Maurizio enjoys working with a diverse population, and works in the Northeastern counties of Indiana. Maurizio began music lessons at age four and learned to play the accordion, piano, violin, mandolin, electronic keyboard and guitar. Maurizio attended Michigan State University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Music degree in Music Therapy in 2005. During his tenure at Michigan State University, Maurizio performed the violin with MSU's Philharmonic Orchestra. Maurizio completed his music therapy internship at Lincoln Park Public Schools in Lincoln Park, MI and then continued his music therapy career at Wyandotte Public Schools in Michigan. Since the fall of 2011, Maurizio has worked in Indiana's Medicaid Waiver system. Maurizio chose music therapy as a profession because he appreciates how music therapy interventions may integrate the senses of hearing, sight, touch, and movement simultaneously in the process of training client-centered goals and objectives.
